Rather than having to choose a column, then choose a filter category, then type what you are searching could you add a generalized search bar on the main page? This would make filtering and drilling down information faster.

Good news everyone! You will now see a Global Search bar at the top of your web dashboard. I am not going to close this post just yet because we will be iterating and adding search functionality in the coming weeks/months. As it stands now, the search bar will search for the following fields: 
- Ticket Number
- Ticket Title
- Ticket Description
- Ticket Resolution & Misc.
- Public and Private Messages 
- File names

Ian Zimmerman what we need though is the ability to search for customer name and organisation as well. This is what we need when searching for tickets quickly.

Mass ticket search

Have to ability to search tickets for more than the basic filters, such as searching the tickets summary/resolution. So it will be easier to find similar cases when different advisors made the cases with different customers.

General Search Tab

It would be great to have a general search box located on the dashboard to allow users to search through their list of tickets, customer names etc. This could also lead onto bringing up customer history, previous tickets, organizations etc. The current filters tab is not as quick and easy as the previous version.
