Click to answer incoming call notification

When Dashboard is not opened in foreground of screen There is not any visible notification of incoming call. Only ringing. Please add at least some browser icon flashing on start panel of windows or popup window on top of screen. If dashboard is opened among more tabs of browser, also tab flashing would be nice. I am using Edge browser. Thanks

Improve Incoming Call Notifications When Tab Is Not Active

Currently, if the John Deere platform tab is not active or minimized, we don’t receive any visual or audible notification that a call is coming in. However, when a text message is received, a notification "pop-up" appears on the right-hand side of the screen—regardless of whether the tab is open.
It would be very helpful if incoming calls could trigger a similar type of pop-up or alert. This way, users can be notified of a call even if they’re working in another tab or window, avoiding missed calls and improving response time.
This would create a more consistent notification experience across messages and calls.

Ability to answer a call on computer outside of expertconnect app/screen

It would be handy if i got a pop up message that my desktop was ringing when im not currently in the EC dashboard. It would also be good if i could click a button on a pop up notification to answer the call on the web dashboard so i didn't have to switch screens to answer a phone call.

This has to do with your browser settings. Depending on which browser you guys are using Chrome / Edge (which you said edge). Maybe tab flashing would be nice. As is currently doesn't matter what I am doing on my computer. I get all notification pop ups with anything pertaining to Expert Connect. So new ticket activity, continuing ticket activity, calls, etc. I would recommend you make sure both your Browser and Windows Settings are set correctly.

I agree with this, the employee does not have the luxury of watching the expertconnect window at all times, and when an incoming call comes in they have to hunt down the browser tab with ExpertConnect.

Heidi Clemens: As my reply above to Jiří, make sure your Browser / Microsoft settings are all correct. You should be getting notifications on anything in Expert Connect. As I was typing this reply to you, not being in my EC Screen my popup notification allowed me to see what was going on in Expert Connect. I will attach the image so you can see.

Victor Kostyk: Thanks for the reply. Agree that all notifications should be coming through, but they are not on every computer. We have been working with ExpertConnect on this. However, as it relates to the notifications of an incoming call (when it works), if I click on that it opens ExpertConnect in a new window even though I was already logged in on another browser window, loads the dashboard (which takes time) and the incoming call window was not even present.
Ideally, we should be presented with the incoming call window as priority and that be able to answer quickly without hunting down the answer button.

Heidi Clemens: But similar to that notification I screenshotted. It would pop up stating of someone income calling. Yes I agree if you actually clicked the notification, it would then open a new EC window (For me it still shows the call on the new tab) "depends on your call settings on how long it rings". But just seeing the notification, you can just quickly go to your EC tab and answer the call then. EC is aware of their abilities currently relating to not being a soft phone program. Which is some of the reasoning behind why you cannot answer a call from a headset etc. Or click on a notification to bring you direct to a call for answering etc.

Victor Kostyk Hello, I receive this notification, but only when new ticket created/maybe updated. Or after mised call ticket created. But incoming call - which I requested - does not give this notification. Only after it becomes a missed call. Then we receive 2 notifications - missed call and new ticket.

Jiří Švastal Then it's definitely to do with your browser / notification settings. Most definitely shows on my screen bottom right when a call is coming inbound.

Victor Kostyk Everyone in our office does not have this functionality and in browser settings we can only turn notifications ON/OFF not choose which notifications we receive. Can you create snapshot of this incoming call notification? Thanks
