Wonder if there is a way to get when new messages and/or chats are in the dashboard, can there be a red dot to show this in the tab of the browser or a blue dot, just like when incoming calls are coming in?

Great suggestion! I use EC in a Chrome app, so I would like to expand this feature request to include showing a notification on the taskbar as well. Outlook shows new mail on the taskbar button, so it would be very helpful if EC did too.
